Meet the Team
Editor in Chief
Devarya Singhania
Devarya (he/him) is a third-year student pursuing a Specialist in English with a Minor in Creative Writing, at the University of Toronto. His poems have been featured in the UC Review, The Spectatorial, The Strand, The Varsity Magazine and The Cyril and Methodius Review. Additionally, he has written essays for Acta Victoriana. He stays busy with his passion for creating unending playlists featuring Dean Lewis and Noah Kahan, or struggling to define 'pasta'. He has a strong aversion to the colour yellow, and he often finds himself indulging in Superstore repeats.
Assistant Editor in Chief
Emma Kewarth
Emma (she/her) is a third year student pursuing a double major in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies. She is very passionate about mental health and creative writing. She has held various positions in the Woodsworth community from being a peer mentor to social media marketing for the journal. Emma spends most of her time singing along to Taylor Swift and Chappell Roan, baking on the weekends with friends, and reading. She will try to talk to anyone and everyone about the book she’s currently reading.
Lead Associate Editor
Diana Vink
Diana Vink (she/they) is a fourth-year student at Victoria College, an avid poet, and occasional short story writer. Between her study breaks trying to finish her degree and her work for multiple on-campus literary journals, Di is always looking for eclectic new items to add to her wardrobe, with her most recent purchase being hot pink Croc heels.
Lead Design Editor
Cameron Ashley
Cameron Ashley is a 3rd year English Specialist and History Minor. She has previously worked for The Woodsworth Review as a Design Editor, as Staff for the UC Gargoyle, and as an Illustrator at The Strand. Cameron also enjoys reading, biking and bad dancing.
Lead Social Media Manager
Aleks Stefanov
Aleks is a 4th year student perusing an English major with Creative Writing and Drama minors. This is her second year working with TWR and is thrilled be a part of such a lovely team. She enjoys making oddly specific playlists that dig a little too deep. Is your situation too specific? Well she will find the song for you! She also enjoys writing one sentence long Letterboxd reviews and watching the latest movies with her friends.
Associate Editors
Ayesha Siddiqui
Ayesha is a third-year student studying History and English. A voracious reader and writer, she remains involved in various campus publications. Some of her work can be found in the Trinity Times and The Woodsworth Review, and she herself can often be found taking long walks, romanticising her life to the soundtrack of a perfectly curated playlist.
Leah Cromarty
Leah Cromarty is a fourth year student studying English, philosophy, and history. She is currently working on her collection of poetry and several depressing novellas. When she is not diving into a new writing idea, she might be found playing bass, drawing aimlessly in a hole-in-the-wall pub, or surviving an existential crisis.
Daisy Yao
Daisy is a first year student looking to major in economics or management? She loves dancing, painting, video-making, shoujo, sushi, and sweets. Daisy also adores tone deaf karaoke to old pop songs and Olivia Rodrigo. A well rounded writer, editor, and layout artist from her highschool newspaper, she’s excited to continue her passions with The Woodsworth Review.
Sharanya Tissera
Sharanya is a second year student pursuing a double major in English and Book & Media Studies. With ambitions to enter the publishing industry, she spends most of her time critiquing her work rather than submitting it. An extrovert with mood swings, Shara does her best to stay content and enjoy the little things in life, like her curated Pinterest boards and Goodreads tbr list.
